Jeju Island and the Jeju Tourism Organization (President Ko Eun-sook) held a job matching program called 'Hit the Road' at the Jeju Welcome Center on the 21st, as announced on the 23rd. This is an employment matching program designed for specific job categories (marketers and developers) identified through corporate demand surveys. The provincial government and tourism organization planned this program to minimize job market mismatches, help resolve corporate labor shortages, and promote youth employment creation. In particular, they collaborated with Underdogs, a social enterprise specializing in startup education. The event was attended by seven participating companies including Stress Solution, Assji-jima, Snappot, Asia Holdings, Kakao Family, Elong, and Discover Jeju, along with approximately 80 job seekers. The program began with company introductions, followed by networking and practical interviews between job seekers and companies. This was followed by special lectures to support youth employment, resume photo sessions, work personality diagnostic tests, and various experience programs. Jeju Tourism Organization President Ko Eun-sook said, "To activate youth employment in promising tourism companies, professional talent cultivation and active job matching efforts are necessary," and added, "The organization will continue to work closely with talent development institutions to create quality jobs." Meanwhile, the Ministry of Employment and Labor and Jeju Special Self-Governing Province select and support regional innovation projects annually to create jobs and improve job quality based on regional industries and employment environments. Since last year, Jeju has been implementing the 'Jeju Tourism Ascension Project' to revitalize the tourism industry, a key regional industry, and activate job creation. The Jeju Tourism Organization supports the growth of tourism companies leading industry innovation while operating regional stay-type programs.
