The Kookmin University Campus Town Project Team announced on the 28th that it successfully concluded the '2024 Kookmin University Campus Town Networking Day' held on the 26th at the open space on the 3rd floor of Kookmin University's Zero One Design Center. The event was conducted with the aim of introducing the Campus Town's 2024 business initiatives and direction to partnering institutions, participating mentors, and resident and graduate companies, strengthening the roles of cooperative organizations, and forming networks among the project team, specialized institutions, mentor groups, and affiliated startups. The event was attended by approximately 40 participants, including Lee In-hyung, head of Kookmin University's Campus Town Project Team, officials from Seoul City and Seongbuk-gu related to the Campus Town project, and those involved in startup promotion and regional co-prosperity. The program proceeded in the following order: introduction, congratulatory remarks, participant introductions, Campus Town introduction and direction explanation, mentor appointment, business agreement signing, photo session, and closing. In particular, through business agreements with 10 mentors in essential startup fields for startup promotion and 5 specialized institutions, as well as 3 specialized institutions for regional co-prosperity, expectations increased for establishing Kookmin University Campus Town partnerships and close support. For the startup promotion sector, agreements were made with Seoul Economy Newspaper, Ajou IB Investment, Kickstart Asia UK, MY Social Company, and Underdogs. For the regional co-prosperity sector, agreements were made with Together Value Jeongneung Market Cooperative, Jeongneung Market Merchants Association, and Gyeseong High School. Officals from Seoul City and Seongbuk-gu Campus Town projects said, "As much as today's event was successful, we look forward to the future business activities of Kookmin University Campus Town," and sent a message of encouragement, saying "We hope that resident companies will also grow higher through Kookmin University Campus Town." Lee In-hyung, head of Kookmin University's Campus Town Project Team (LINC3.0 Project Team head), expressed his vision, stating, "As Kookmin University's slogan this year is 'Entrepreneurship, The KOOKMIN,' we will create a year of leap forward for Kookmin University Campus Town to emerge as a locally-focused startup hub." Meanwhile, Kookmin University Campus Town was newly selected for the Campus Town unit-type project supported by Seoul City in 2023, and has been striving to play a central role as a locally-focused startup hub by continuously implementing various activities for startup promotion and local revitalization. Moving forward, the Kookmin University Campus Town Project Team plans to create a collaborative system with Seoul City and Seongbuk-gu, expand startup promotion and regional co-prosperity, and contribute to the cultivation of youth startups and local revitalization.
