Korean startup education company Underdogs announced that it participated as a speaker at 'Social Innovation Week 2024,' Mongolia's largest startup and social innovation event. At this event, Underdogs shared insights about the Korean startup ecosystem, the role of entrepreneurship education, and future prospects. Social Innovation Week is a conference hosted by KITE, Mongolia's first accelerator. It began in 2021 in collaboration with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and Ulaanbaatar's Science, Innovation and Technology Office. The event brings together key government institutions such as Mongolia's Ministry of Education and Science and Ministry of Social Welfare each year to exchange ideas on solving social problems through entrepreneurship. In 2024, the event was organized around the theme of 'Social Innovation for Future Generations.' Underdogs participated as a speaker in the 'Social Innovation Entrepreneurship and SDGs* Impact' session, with Dae-eun Park, a partner at Underdogs' Strategic Planning Division and Global Task Force team member, serving as the presenter. *SDGs: Sustainable Development Goals. Seventeen objectives adopted by the UN in 2015 to end global poverty, protect the planet, and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity by 2030. At the event, Partner Park Dae-eun introduced how Underdogs' practical startup education services contribute to the Korean startup ecosystem. Underdogs is a startup education company that has nurtured over 15,000 entrepreneurs. It has provided practical startup coaching to startups, small business owners, local brands, and solo entrepreneurs. The event highlighted Underdogs' accumulation of startup data through over nine years of entrepreneurship education since 2015, its connection with venture investment, and its expanded educational reach through collaborations with large corporations and startup support organizations. Mongolia's venture ecosystem is currently growing rapidly. With over 60% of the population under 35 years old and per capita GDP exceeding $10,000, the country demonstrates high economic growth rates. In particular, Mongolia's startup ecosystem is expanding rapidly through international exchanges. Underdogs was highlighted as a noteworthy case for fostering startups in both countries. Underdogs is promoting Korean startup education in various overseas markets including Japan, Singapore, Vietnam, Mongolia, and Uganda. Partner Dae-eun Park of Underdogs stated, 'Underdogs has a vision to nurture 100,000 entrepreneurs across Asia and globally by 2027,' and added, 'In 2024, we will recover relationships with global partners that were disrupted due to the pandemic and establish a foundation for a leap forward.'
