Underdogs, a startup and entrepreneurship education institution, announced that its 'Action Seminar EP. 02: Japan's Innovation Ecosystem' forum concluded successfully. The forum, hosted by Underdogs' in-house content research institute 'ud Labs,' was a program featuring leaders of startup support institutions at the center of Japan's innovation ecosystem. It was designed as a discussion venue covering multiple aspects including policy, industry, and culture to promote cooperation and mutual growth between South Korea and Japan's startup ecosystems, which share culture and industry. In particular, in Part 2, where case studies of Korean startups' expansion into Japan were shared, Tae-ho Kim, Director of Lytton Technologies, and Dae-eun Park, Partner of Underdogs, took the stage as speakers and shared vivid experiences and insights from their respective companies' entry into the Japanese market, receiving positive responses from the audience. Over 100 attendees, including incumbent startup CEOs interested in Japanese entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystems, participated on-site and exchanged perspectives and experiences. Kim Jeong-heon, CEO of Underdogs, said, "Now that the Japanese market has re-emerged as a land of opportunity due to Japan's government announcement of 'Integrated Innovation Strategy 2023,' it is a critical time for active exchanges and information sharing among experts from both countries to facilitate the establishment of Korean startups in Japan and the development of Japan's innovative startup ecosystem," sending a message for cooperation between Korean and Japanese startup ecosystems.
