(Photo provided by Busan Creative Economy Innovation Center) The Busan Creative Economy Innovation Center announced on the 25th that it will promote a platform-based community problem-solving project together with SK E&S and Underdogs. To this end, a memorandum of understanding was signed the previous day, containing details on building and operating the 'Busan ESG Platform' (tentative name), which is led by citizens and companies. The Busan ESG Platform is a public-private collaboration program co-hosted by the Busan Creative Economy Innovation Center, SK E&S, and Underdogs. It is a linked support project for first-year participating companies of the BEF (Busan Economic Activation Support Fund) and SK's regional co-prosperity project. The goal of the project is to create a structure and system in which anyone can present opinions on local issues, and multiple stakeholders including companies and citizens discuss and solve solutions for these issues. The project will involve 18 companies selected for the BEF's second year and 5 companies selected from SK E&S's large and small-to-medium enterprise cooperation fund. An official from the Busan Creative Economy Innovation Center stated, "The collaborative project with SK E&S, which has been focusing on ESG activation and regional cooperation, and Underdogs, a startup education specialist, is expected to be a good example of fostering small and startup companies and solving regional problems through public-private governance."
