The students were divided into 18 teams and completed team missions throughout Siheung City over a 6-week period from the 5th of last month to the 18th. They presented the results of their activities on the 18th before Siheung City Vice Mayor Lee Jin-chan, city and provincial council members, and other officials. At the event, the youth business team 'Masitday' proposed restaurant guides and festival introduction panels as final deliverables to revitalize the commercial area near Lotte Mart in Daya-dong. The 'Regional Innovation Project' team (led by Kim Jung-heon, CEO of Underdogs) connected local issues to startup items that young people could directly implement. The 'Park Activation' team presented various ideas to activate parks based on surveys conducted with citizens who use parks. The 'Korea Culture Capital Promotional Team' suggested creative promotional methods to help more Siheung citizens immerse themselves in culture throughout the year, with ideas from all 18 teams showcasing the youth perspective. Additionally, during the final 4 days of the 'Local Impact School,' students used community mapping to discover shared spaces in Siheung City and researched utilization methods, presenting their results. Vice Mayor Lee Jin-chan, who attended the event, said in his closing remarks: "I was amazed that in just 6 weeks, students showed interest in city administration, directly engaged with problems, and sought solutions while making policy proposals." He added, "If young people continue to develop and utilize the confidence, vitality, and energy you have demonstrated, you will undoubtedly become icons of social innovation in our society."
