Startups Changing the World, Startup Campus Recruiting [Korean University News - Reporter Sohn Hyun-kyung] A large-scale startup job fair will be held at Yonsei University as the new semester begins. This is the first time Yonsei University is hosting a large-scale recruitment event for startups on campus. Yonsei University's Startup Support Division (Director Sohn Hong-gyu), in collaboration with the Seoul Small and Medium Business Administration, Seoul Industrial Promotion Agency, Seogang University's Industry-Academia Cooperation Division, and Comento, a startup talent-matching specialist company, will hold the startup job fair 'Startups Changing the World, Startup Campus Recruiting' at the Engineering Campus Atrium from September 6-7. This event will enhance university students' awareness of startups and help promising startup companies secure talented employees. The event will feature startups discovered and nurtured by Yonsei University's Startup Support Division, as well as excellent companies incubated by Tmon, subsidiaries of Yello Financial Group, Mashup Angels, Sopoong, Underdogs, and DSC Investment. Additionally, April Skin, a Yonsei University alumni company that recorded a 500-to-1 hiring competition rate, will also participate. As side events, seminars by 10 participating startups will be held, and free employment and startup counseling will be provided. Anyone interested in startups or seeking employment can attend. Director Sohn Hong-gyu of Yonsei University's Startup Support Division stated, "We hope to provide an opportunity to shift the employment culture from large corporations to startups. The word 'startup' alone is already drawing considerable interest from today's university students. Through this event, we hope attending students will recognize that 'startups are such great companies! These kinds of companies exist! I want to work at a startup or start my own business!' We also hope this becomes an opportunity for promising startups to attract talented employees." Source: Korean University News (http://news.unn.net)
