Underdogs Recruiting Participating Teams for Social Venture Development Program 'Make Community' (~7/10) Social venture incubator Underdogs is recruiting teams to participate in the social venture accelerating project 'Make Community' by July 10. The recruitment targets startups aiming to innovate spaces and communities. The investment size for each team is determined according to the team's social value and startup stage. The 14-week accelerating program proceeds with Underdogs members sharing expertise on ▲organizational composition and management ▲division of tasks and productivity maximization methods ▲enterprise development processes ▲corporate issues such as human resources, finance, real estate, loans, and legal matters ▲business scaling and corporate strategy establishment, helping to solve problems. Additionally, participants are given opportunities to meet with entrepreneurs in the space and community sectors. Details can be found on the Underdogs website. 02. 2018 Eco Hope Travel Project Participant Recruitment Announcement (~7/18) Hana Tour, Korea Energy Agency, and Camp Association are recruiting participants for the '2018 Eco Hope Travel Project' by July 18. The Eco Hope Travel Project is a program to explore overseas sites with social innovators in the fields of energy, environment, and appropriate technology (international development). The program aims to develop the capacity of social innovators in the energy, environment, and appropriate technology fields through overseas exploration and to develop innovative content in these fields. Selected participants will visit Tamaraw and Talac in the Philippines for 4 nights and 5 days from September 4-8, 2018. The recruitment targets members of social economy organizations (enterprises or non-profit organizations) engaged in energy, environment, and appropriate technology-related projects, with a maximum of 2 people per institution. Download the application form from Camp Association's website, fill it out, and submit it along with supporting documents (certificate of (provisional) social enterprise, identification number (non-profit corporation), documents proving entrepreneurial activities within the social economy, social innovation activity materials, etc.) to the email address (manage_pr@icamp.asia). 03. 2018 NPO Partner Fair Booth Participant Recruitment (~7/25) The Seoul NPO Support Center is recruiting participants for the '2018 NPO Partner Fair' by July 25. Held for the second time this year, the NPO Partner Fair is an event where you can meet companies, experts, social contribution activities, social responsibility activities, donation and investment institutions, public agencies, and intermediate support organizations who work together in the public interest sector. Participation fees vary depending on the size and location of the booth: Type A-1 250,000 won (2.5m*2.5m*2.5m, Convention Hall), Type A-2 100,000 won (divided use of Type A-1, 1m*2.5m*2.5m, Convention Hall), Type B 300,000 won (3m*3m*2.5m, Lobby). Additionally, 1 table, 2 chairs, 1 power strip, and booth sign and wall banner printing services are provided (design excluded). Those wishing to participate can apply on the 2018 NPO Partner Fair introduction page. 04. 2018 H-OnDream Social Enterprise Startup Audition 'Accelerating' Division Participating Companies Recruitment (~8/24) Hyundai Motor Group and Hyundai Motor Chung Mong-Koo Foundation are recruiting companies to participate in the 'Accelerating' division of the '2018 H-OnDream Social Enterprise Startup Audition' by August 24. The 'H-OnDream Social Enterprise Startup Audition' is a social entrepreneur discovery and development program hosted by Hyundai Motor Group and Hyundai Motor Chung Mong-Koo Foundation. In 2017, an 'Accelerating Division' was newly established to provide funding, education, and investment opportunities to promising social economy companies in the growth stage. Participation targets for this audition are ▲companies from H-OnDream Fellows 1-5 with annual revenues of 3 billion won or less that have significant social impact and business growth potential ▲social economy organizations with annual revenues of 3 billion won or less that possess business models and capabilities to lead growth in the relevant field or industry. If selected, up to 100 million won will be provided as business funding. Additionally, participants will receive 3 months of management diagnosis and field-specific consulting, design, technology, business model consulting, speaking training for investment attraction, and opportunities to network with similar social economy companies.
