Hanyang Cyber University's Department of Human Resources Organization and Strategic Venture announced that it conducted a 'Human Resources and Labor Management Mentoring Project' for a total of 7 weeks from September 1st to October 20th. A Hanyang Cyber University official stated, "By inviting mentors in the fields of entrepreneurship, labor management, employment, and leadership to give special lectures, we provided students with the opportunity to experience various professional worlds (entrepreneurs, certified labor consultants, employment consultants, social entrepreneurs, etc.) while building expertise in the respective fields and creating opportunities for employment and startup ventures." In the entrepreneurship field, Cho Sang-rae, CEO of Underdogs, introduced how to find an entrepreneur's perspective over 3 weeks, as well as success and failure cases of startups. In the human resources and labor management field, Jang Sung-min, a certified labor consultant at the Labor-Management Development Foundation, conducted mentoring focused on practical cases including the reduction of working hours to 52 hours per week and explanations of recently changed labor laws. In the employment field, the mentoring was conducted over 4 weeks covering recruitment preparation, self-analysis, cover letter writing and practice, and mock interviews by industry and job type. The school reported that students showed high interest and satisfaction. In the leadership field, Kim Dae-chul, director of social cooperative Dureundureun, conducted mentoring with students on the topics of 'Career and Startup (Career Creation) in the Era of the 4th Industrial Revolution' and 'The Key to Success: Gratitude.' Students who participated in the mentoring program expressed high satisfaction with the opportunity to experience various fields, and shared hopes that mentoring opportunities would be expanded to other students. Hanyang Cyber University's Department of Human Resources Organization and Strategic Venture will begin recruiting new and transfer students for the 2019 academic year's first semester starting December 1st. Anyone with a high school diploma or equivalent qualification can apply. Additionally, the school stated that graduates of junior colleges, those with 2 or more years of coursework at 4-year universities, and 2-year college graduates are eligible to transfer as 2nd or 3rd year students.
