Social enterprise 'Underdogs' to host 'Social Venture Policy Research International Forum (SVPF)' on the 26th./Photo provided by Underdogs "Nurturing and investment policies for the growth of social ventures directly lead to solving social problems." Underdogs, a social enterprise that cultivates social innovation entrepreneurs, will host the 'Social Venture Policy Research International Forum (SVPF)' embodying this direction on the 26th at Bank of America Hall in Jung-gu, Seoul. This forum will present the results of policy research projects on social ventures conducted over the past five months by Citibank Korea, Citi Foundation, and Social Bank. The event will open with opening remarks by Kim Yong-deok, CEO of Social Bank, and welcoming remarks by Park Jin-hoe, President of Citibank Korea. Following that, in addition to project results, related issues will be discussed through expert lectures and discussions. The forum will be attended by current professors and government officials concerned with social venture growth for multi-faceted policy review. In addition to domestic personnel, speakers from public and private institutions in the United States, United Kingdom, and Singapore will participate. 'Social Venture Policy Research International Forum (SVPF)' detailed schedule./Photo provided by Underdogs Part 1 will feature presentations of research findings under the theme 'Social Venture Policy Research Project Results,' and Part 2 will feature case presentations and panel discussions by overseas speakers under the theme 'Global Nurturing and Investment Policies for Social Venture Growth.' Through this event, Underdogs plans to contribute to building a global social venture network and serve as a discussion venue for social ventures to grow further. An Ji-hye, Director of Underdogs in charge of the project, said, "The greatest significance lies in the fact that the forum's function does not end with academic research presentations or discourse by actual players." She added, "In addition to academic researchers, we will invite the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, which actually implements social venture-related policies, as well as the Korean Social Enterprise Promotion Agency and the Democratic Research Institute for the current government's policy planning, so that implications from domestic research results and overseas cases can be reflected in actual policies." Registration for the Social Venture Policy Research International Forum (SVPF) is available until the 25th and may close early depending on the number of applicants. Registration for the forum is available through the registration link (bit.ly/2019SVPF). ♦ Original article: http://www.eroun.net/news/articleView.html?idxno=6089
