Underdogs is recruiting startups to participate in the 'Urban Problem-Solving Social Venture Boosting Program' in collaboration with the Seoul Metropolitan Government. The 'Urban Problem-Solving Social Venture' refers to startups with technology, products, and services that address various urban issues such as housing, employment, transportation, economy, environment, and health. All 'Urban Problem-Solving Social Ventures' established in Seoul less than 7 years ago are eligible to apply. The program was designed as part of the 'Seoul Metropolitan Government's Public-Private Collaboration Support Project for Social Venture Development.' Selected companies will receive customized support across three areas: performance management boosting, business model enhancement boosting, and follow-up investment boosting. These include capability-strengthening education by field, close coaching systems with experts, mentoring and networking from veteran entrepreneurs, free provision of facilities and infrastructure, follow-up investment support, and opportunities to pitch at large-scale demo days. The program will actively provide practical performance outcomes through weekly 'Lunch with Booster' sessions where companies check business results with veteran entrepreneurs and field experts. The 16-week program runs from August 22 to December 12 and is currently accepting applications until August 12. Plans call for selecting 5-6 startups in August following document review and interviews. Applications can be submitted through the Underdogs website. Na Hye-won, Director of Underdogs, stated, "Based on Underdogs' strength in close coaching, we plan to provide practical support necessary for the growth of each social venture. We hope many social ventures striving to boost their business will apply."
