Hana Financial Group held a final performance sharing event for its 'Hana Social Venture Academy' program, which supports social innovation entrepreneurs through startup education, as announced on the 4th. The event took place on the 2nd at the Glad Hotel in Yeouido, Seoul, under the title 'Hana Social Venture LIVE!' At the event, 14 innovative startup (prospective) teams that successfully completed customized startup education conducted over 8 weeks from June shared their achievements. Participating organizations included Hana Financial Holdings, Hana Ventures, Korea Social Investment (an impact investment specialist), the Social Enterprise Promotion Agency, the Korean Social Enterprise Central Council, and Underdogs, a social innovation company builder. The 14 teams presented their social innovation ideas, and outstanding startup teams were selected through on-site evaluation to receive startup support funds and shared office space (WeWork). At the event entrance, promotional booths were set up where various participants, including university students interested in startups, venture capitalists (VCs), and social economy workers, promoted their ideas for solving social problems. Ham Young-joo, Vice Chairman of Hana Financial Group, stated, "I am confident that the 8 weeks of startup education will serve as a solid foundation after launch, greatly helping to advance business models for solving social problems. Going forward, Hana Financial Group will continue to provide diverse support, including support for the startup ecosystem, to create quality jobs and revitalize the social economy."
