[Irou Net] Underdogs Selects and Fosters Social Ventures to Solve Urban Problems for 16 Weeks

Recruitment of startups to participate in 'Urban Problem-Solving Social Venture Boosting Program' Underdogs, a social enterprise providing social innovation startup content, announced on the 6th that it is recruiting startups to participate in the 'Urban Problem-Solving Social Venture Boosting Program' in partnership with Seoul City. The program seeks 'urban problem-solving social ventures' with technology, products, and services that address various 'urban issues' such as housing, employment, transportation, economy, environment, and health problems. Any 'urban problem-solving social venture' based in Seoul that has been operating for less than 7 years can apply. Through open recruitment until the 12th, the program plans to select 5-6 startups through document screening and interviews. Applications can be submitted on the Underdogs website (https://underdogs.co.kr/portfolio_page/boosting). This program was designed as part of the 'Seoul City Public-Private Cooperation Support Project for Social Venture Development.' Startups will be selected in three areas: ▲performance management boosting ▲business model advancement boosting ▲follow-up investment boosting, and the 16-week program will run from August 22 to December 12. Participating companies can receive customized support including: △field-specific competency enhancement training △close coaching system by specialized personnel △mentoring and networking from senior entrepreneurs in their business field △free provision of facilities and infrastructure △follow-up investment connection support △large-scale demo day pitching opportunities. Underdogs stated, "We plan to provide substantive performance support through weekly 'Lunch with Boosters' sessions where senior entrepreneurs and field-specific experts check business progress."
