LocalRize UP Festival' poster./Photo provided by Underdogs 'LocalRize Gunsan,' which has led urban regeneration in the local community through youth business and innovation activities based in Gunsan, Jeonbuk, has organized an event to share the growth process and outcomes of startup teams. Underdogs, a social enterprise that planned and operated 'LocalRize Gunsan,' announced on the 8th that it will hold the 'LocalRize UP Festival' in the Gunsan Film Town and LocalRize Town area on the 12th. At the festival, visitors can experience the activities and results of 23 startup teams that have worked to create new value in Gunsan over eight months since March. The event will feature regional tours with startup teams, flea markets filling the movie market alley, exhibitions showcasing their daily lives, awards encouraging the startup teams for this year and next year, and food zones where visitors can enjoy food and performances. 'LocalRize Gunsan' is a project that began with the main goal of establishing the old downtown area of Younghwadong as Gunsan's center for culture and tourism, and creating local jobs. Underdogs took charge of fostering and educating startup teams, while SK E&S, a local energy company, created a social venture hub space to support the growth of social ventures.
