Underdogs, a practical entrepreneurship education institution, is recruiting middle and high school students to participate in the 'Global Social Innovation Business Camp (GSIBC)', a project where participants analyze problems faced by social entrepreneurs in Cambodia and provide consulting. The camp will run from January 16 to March 7, 2020, and is open to students from 3rd year middle school to 2nd year high school as of 2019. Participants will first build management and marketing knowledge through pre-camp business training, project mission understanding, and online mentoring, while also learning attitudes for cultivating global citizenship. They will then spend 9 nights and 11 days visiting local social enterprises in Cambodia to conduct management consulting projects with international participants, followed by a final activity presentation. GSIBC aims for Problem Based Learning (PBL) methodology by conducting consulting projects on the ground in local markets. Business expert coaches provide close team coaching based on Underdogs' verified curriculum, which has produced over 6,800 entrepreneurs over four years. Participants will communicate in English with international participants, local entrepreneurs, and customers in all business settings. All educational processes and experiences are utilized in solving social enterprise problems, naturally fostering global citizenship consciousness that respects diverse values and cultures. An Ji-hye, Director of Underdogs, stated, "Business is ultimately about how to continuously solve problems people face and finding answers to those challenges." She added, "We expect this process centered on business consulting to be a growth process where participating students can proactively solve various problems."
