Localize Gunsan,' a project that has infused new energy into the local community through diverse ideas and innovative activities based in Gunsan, Jeonbuk, is recruiting 4 new startup teams in 2020. 'Localize Gunsan' is an urban regeneration project that began in March of last year, based in Younghwa-dong, the old downtown area of Gunsan. It selected a total of 23 startup teams and provided support for education, item development, product and service launch, internal and external resource networking, and business networking. The target for recruitment includes 2-3 year-old local startups that are currently operating businesses in the Gunsan area and wish to expand and grow, or those operating businesses in other regions but want to start new or expand businesses in Gunsan. Applications will be accepted until the 21st, and final successful teams will be selected in early March through document screening and interviews. The recruitment areas include: △Tourism-related fields that can discover tourism resources within Gunsan and provide services through content creation △Marketing fields with independent branding capabilities △Fields that can operate community services based on spaces within Gunsan △Local revitalization startup fields, etc. Selected teams will receive up to 30 million won in business funds per team and be provided with accommodation and coworking spaces for daily and office use. At the Localize Town built by SK E&S and Underdogs in Younghwa-dong, teams can receive support for activities necessary for their business, including education, collaboration, and exchange. Underdogs, which discovers social innovators, will lead educational programs and provide opportunities for collaboration with local resources and existing startup teams. Participation is completely free of charge. Key schedules include receiving intensive education and coaching from current and former entrepreneurs during March-May and developing solutions tailored to the region. From June to November, startup teams will gather to strengthen networking and receive support for stable settlement in Gunsan. The 'Localize Festival' will be held in October to showcase the results of startup teams, and a final achievement sharing session in December will allow participants to share their experiences.
