UD Impact, a leading entrepreneurship education institution in Asia, officially launched the Indonesian Environmental & Energy Young Entrepreneur Project (hereinafter referred to as Indonesian Entrepreneur Project). This initiative is being held jointly with a consortium of leading Indonesian universities, including Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Universitas Indonesia (UI), Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES), Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI), Telkom University Bandung, Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS), and Universitas Primakara Bali. The program aims to cultivate a new generation of startups that are ready to compete and provide real solutions to environmental and energy challenges in Indonesia. Over the next six months, the Indonesian Entrepreneur Project will invite students and early-stage founders to explore UD Impact's approach focusing on practical solutions and execution. The program not only focuses on theory but encourages participants to apply their ideas through intensive mentoring, large-scale hackathons, and direct meetings with investors. The target is for this program to produce at least 20 startups ready for growth with venture capital support by the end of the period. This launch is an important step in UD Impact's strategic mission to make Indonesia Southeast Asia's No.1 Talent Growth & Matching Hub by 2030. The program will conclude with a Demo Day, where the best startups will present their innovations to regional investors, corporate partners, and other stakeholders. "Indonesia's future is in the hands of entrepreneurs who dare to execute. At UD Impact, we don't just produce dreamers, but Act-preneurs—founders ready to build relevant and impactful businesses. The Indonesian Entrepreneur Project serves as a bridge between young talent and sustainability mission, creating a new generation that will make Indonesia the center of green innovation in Southeast Asia," said UD Impact Inc CEO JeongHeon Kim. UD Impact itself has a strong track record, having trained more than 25,000 entrepreneurs in 20 countries and recorded ESG impact valued at US$156 million in 2024. "It is an honor for us to be part of such an inspirational UD Impact program. Through this program, I hope participants can gain more knowledge, learn through LMS, receive guidance from mentors, and work on tasks beneficial for their startup journey. I also hope they can build strong relationships with partners and VCs who can potentially provide funding. Most importantly, I want to see more successful startups and strengthened collaboration between Korea and Indonesia, so founders from both countries can work together better and grow bigger," said Eny Widaryanti, Head of pre and pos.
