Impact company builder NewBlack announced on the 9th that it has made a seed investment in community company TheHeartCompany. TheHeartCompany is a startup founded by Park Dae-eun, who previously handled startup education coaching at Underdogs and impact business consulting at NewBlack. Centered in Incheon's Seo-gu district, the company plans to provide content that helps millennial women who have taken on the new role of motherhood establish their identity, and build online and offline communities where they can implement these ideas. Millennial women grew up recognizing self-realization as their primary life goal, so they experience greater difficulty than previous generations in living without realizing their values and preferences due to childcare responsibilities. Park Dae-eun, CEO of TheHeartCompany, stated, "Through this investment, we expect to create business synergies with NewBlack group companies, including developing startup education programs targeting women raising children in collaboration with NewBlack." Kim Jung-heon, CEO of NewBlack, said, "TheHeartCompany is NewBlack's fifth local startup investment case. Through this investment, we have expanded our local business activities from Jeju, Gangwon, Chungnam, Siheung in Gyeonggi, to Incheon. We will continue to work together to support local startups in creating new value for their regions." [StartupToday = Reporter Lim Hyo-jung] hj@startuptoday.kr
