Daejeon Metropolitan City held the final performance sharing conference for the second session of '2021 Social Impact Changers' online on the 20th, supported by Daejeon and jointly organized by the Daejeon Creative Economy Innovation Center and Underdogs. During the event, 20 excellent companies presented their business models and achievements that they had been preparing. '2021 Social Impact Changers' is a 12-week program that discovers and nurtures technology-convergence social ventures that solve social problems based on technological capabilities and ideas in the innovation city of Daejeon. At the final performance sharing conference held on the day, 20 teams presented their business models and achievements. Through evaluation, the top 5 excellent companies were selected: ChanceWave, which created the ChanceLink living-oriented public policy platform; Newture, which provides safe cold chain services using bio-new materials; Korea Stress Reduction, which provides stress management services based on medical data using heart rate and ECG waveform-based guided auditory solutions; Il-Dao, a non-face-to-face matching service platform for construction day laborers; and Nano Electronics, which develops low-power nano-material heating products for electric vehicles using eco-friendly nano heaters. The Daejeon Social Impact Changers Phase 2 business advancement training and final performance sharing conference minimized attendance to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and conducted both online and offline sessions. During offline proceedings, quarantine principles such as temperature checks, hand sanitizer placement, and mask wearing were strictly observed. Kim Jung-soo, Director of the Daejeon Creative Economy Innovation Center, said, "Through this program, I hope many companies will grow by approaching social issues from a technology venture perspective. We understand that it is difficult for companies to take a step forward, but we are grateful to all companies that have done so well.
