Localize Gunsan, a social innovation startup incubator based in Younghwa-dong, Gunsan (operated by Underdogs), is launching a crowdfunding exhibition in collaboration with local entrepreneurs. Localize Gunsan is a project that revitalizes the local community through various local startups and innovation activities based in Gunsan. Starting in 2019, it selected and nurtured entrepreneurs to operate in Gunsan's original downtown area. In 2020, it focused on upgrading products and services of startup teams. In 2021, it is opening a crowdfunding exhibition with 26 startup teams themed around Gunsan. Regarding the exhibition, Lee Seul-gi, Project Director of Localize Gunsan, stated: "Through this exhibition, we wanted to promote Gunsan further and create new and interesting experiences with diverse people inside and outside Gunsan. Since the startup teams of Localize Gunsan, local small business owners, and startup teams from Gangneung have worked together, we hope this becomes an opportunity to better showcase Gunsan's charm." The Gunsan exhibition, running until September 14, is titled "A Glorious Gunsan," with a total of 8 projects opening on crowdfunding platform Tumblbug. Products inspired by Gunsan's original downtown include design goods, fairy tale books, curated walking routes, and photo exhibitions. Additionally, new ways to enjoy tea such as blending tea customized to one's constitution and capsule-type tea are introduced. A magazine featuring stories of people preserving Gunsan's culture in various ways will also be showcased. The funding projects participating in the exhibition are as follows: △ "Long Moon, Moon Lump," a cat living in Walmyeong-dong, Gunsan (Walmyeong Studio) △ "DIY TEA Kit" customized to your constitution (Blue Mustard Studio) △ Gunsan ceramic magnets capturing memories of Gunsan travel (Kkomak Workshop) △ Tea capsule "A Moment of Leisure" enjoyed like coffee (Ssuk Ssuk Market) △ "Gunsan, On" - the second story of a true local magazine (Localize Gunsan) △ Photo exhibition "Bright Paths" - archiving Gunsan's original downtown (Pieces of Village) △ "Kim Kim Kim Kim" - four warm and small stories of Gunsan's seaweed (Gunsan Seawim) △ "10,000 Steps 01" - a walking guide to Gunsan's original downtown (Bench and Press) Localize Gunsan plans to continue providing various support so entrepreneurs can operate stable businesses. In the coming October, an event is planned where Gunsan citizens can enjoy products and services created by Localize Gunsan startup teams over three years.
