Underdogs, a startup education specialist company (representatives: Kim Jung-heon and Jo Sang-rae), completed the 3rd Underdogs Coach Development Program in Jeju Province on the 26th. Intensive training to enhance coach capabilities was conducted over a total of 4 days, and 4 Underdogs coaches were finally produced. As a result, a total of 25 coaches can now operate nationwide. The 'Underdogs Coach' is a 1:1 startup education program established since 2021 with the aim of directly assisting entrepreneurs throughout the country in the field. It operates with the goal of helping prospective and early-stage entrepreneurs grow by bringing together Underdogs, which has unique startup education content that can be applied immediately in practice, with entrepreneurs with startup experience from across the country. In fact, the 3rd cohort of Underdogs coaches consists of local entrepreneurs based in Jeju Province and officials from startup support organizations responsible for fostering entrepreneurs in the Jeju area. Selected through rigorous processes including non-face-to-face interviews and workshops, they will be connected with startup teams seeking 1:1 coaching-style startup education throughout the country, including Jeju Province, and will serve as startup educators helping these teams grow. Park Byung-ryong, a coach leading the Underdogs Coach Development Program, said, "Underdogs coaches play a role like a marathon pace maker for prospective and early-stage entrepreneurs who must inevitably experience many trial and errors," and added, "Our goal is to produce 100 Underdogs coaches this year so that valuable personal experiences accumulated through startup ventures can become a driving force for the development of startup ecosystems across the country."
