GS Retail Launches 5th Eco Social Impact Project to Support Youth Social Ventures Practical startup education and coaching...mentoring and sales channel support benefits included (Seoul=News1) Reporter Shin Min-kyung = GS Retail announced on the 24th that it is publicly recruiting participants for the 5th cohort of 'Eco Social Impact Project,' a startup support program for youth social ventures. The Eco Social Impact Project is GS Retail's corporate social responsibility activity that supports social ventures and startups in the sustainable environmental manufacturing sector. Since its launch as the 'Social Impact Project' in 2017, it has produced a total of 39 startup teams to date. The 5th Eco Social Impact Project will accept applications until April 13th. Participants can receive practical startup education including hands-on training for environmental manufacturing social innovation startup foundation and intensive education for business concretization. The education program will run for approximately 4 months from May to September this year, consisting of non-face-to-face online education and one-on-one startup coaching. Current startup coaches, legal experts, GS Retail employees, and active merchandisers will lead the growth of startup teams through special lectures and customized business mentoring. Based on startup teams' business performance and achievements, GS Retail will directly support resource connection and sales channels utilizing its infrastructure. The 5th Eco Social Impact Project is open to anyone who is a social venture in the environmental manufacturing field with 1-3 years of experience or an early-stage startup team or individual entrepreneur. Many young startup teams are growing through GS Retail's 'Eco Social Impact Project.' 'ToTu Company,' founded by two working mothers, developed sanitary pads. With help from a QA manager, they passed the stringent TV home shopping certification process. Currently, they sell organic cotton cover sanitary pads 'Pia' on GS Shop. 'Dajung Market' creates healthy and safe pet treats using eco-friendly irregular-shaped domestic agricultural products. To solve the problem of agricultural products being classified as irregular due to size and shape, they created pet treats. Through the 'Social Impact Project,' they advanced their business model and received sales channel support from GS Shop.
