Jeju startup founders and leading companies join forces to share local challenges and explore business opportunities Embodying Jeju dialect 'Younghaja' and 'Young' symbolizing youth, the program proceeds through on-site exploration tours Underdogs, a startup education specialist company (Representatives: Kim Jung-heon and Cho Sang-rae), will conduct the 'Salon de Young - Young Crew' program with Jeju Greater Tomorrow Center from April 30 to May 14. 'Salon de Young' is a program jointly planned and operated by Underdogs and Jeju Greater Tomorrow Center. It brings together aspiring and early-stage startup founders in Jeju with leading companies and institutions inside and outside the region to share Jeju's local social issues and create solutions and business activation opportunities. The program embodies the meaning of the Jeju dialect 'Younghaja' (meaning 'let's do this') and 'Young' symbolizing youth and young people. The program will have a total of 80 aspiring and early-stage startup founders and related personnel participating. Starting with the opening ceremony on April 30, teams of 4-8 people will select one of nine themes representing Jeju, directly explore the sites, and find ways to solve social problems. On-site explorations include: 'Kim Hae-gun's Local Conflict Tour' addressing regional imbalance development centering on the second airport; 'Yeowol's YOUNG Tea, Young Tea' exploring opportunities in the tea industry with early-stage entrepreneurs centered on Sumangdawon tea plantation; 'Sleeping Lion and Yoga Hari's Mind & Sound Walking' discussing business activation of environmental conservation centered on Gotjawal; 'Je Je Tour with Weenies Jeju' solving waste problems in Jeju; 'Hae-woo and Memoria's Looking at Jeju Stone' exploring Jeju stone walls; 'Omong's Guza Art Travel' exploring location-value-based travel content centered on the Gujwa region; 'Isibo's Young Maenggeun Liquor' investigating the status of disappearing Jeju traditional liquor; and 'Innderknow's Clothing Opinion Exchange' exploring Jeju clothing culture and lifestyle centered on the original downtown area. These are conducted as guided tour concepts. On May 14, when the program concludes, based on collected records, an online forum titled 'The Real Jeju We Found' will be held to discuss regional innovation methods and solutions. Cho Sang-rae, CEO of Underdogs, said, "Underdogs has had the belief that various problems faced by local communities throughout the country can be solved through the perspective of entrepreneurs, and has been conducting business with the philosophy that startup education is social infrastructure suitable for the ESG era. We will further commit to creating social impact that simultaneously solves social problems and stimulates economic revitalization." 'Salon de Young - Young Crew' program is a local community innovation program conducted through on-site exploration tours in a tour concept format, embodying the meaning of Jeju dialect 'Younghaja' and 'Young' symbolizing youth.
