Platum
Underdogs, a startup education specialist company, has restructured its organization from a dual co-representative system of Kim Jung-heon and Cho Sang-rae to a single representative system under Cho Sang-rae. The company also appointed Han Wan-hee as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead its data-driven community platform business. Additionally, Han Seul-gi was appointed Chief Strategy Officer (CSO), leading startup programs in various regions including 'Localize Gunsan,' and Yoo Yeon-sung was appointed Chief Content Officer (CCO), who has served as an Underdogs coach since the company's inception. These three executives form the new management team. Former co-representative Kim Jung-heon will focus on NewBlack, the holding company. NewBlack is an impact company builder with 4 subsidiaries including BigWork and PaperPop, as well as 8 portfolio companies. Going forward, NewBlack plans to cooperate by providing acceleration support to early-stage entrepreneurs discovered and nurtured by Underdogs. Since its founding in 2015, Underdogs has been a startup education specialist that has discovered and fostered over 10,000 entrepreneurs nationwide. Starting with the 'Underdogs Military Academy,' and introducing programs such as 'KT&G Imagination Startup Camp,' the company pioneered a new paradigm in the startup education market by introducing practical coaching education to the traditionally lecture-focused field. Recently, it has been collaborating with Hana Financial Group on the 'Hana Social Venture University,' establishing 10 regional universities nationwide as hubs for startup education. Based on startup education data and technological capabilities accumulated over seven years in nurturing over 10,000 entrepreneurs, Underdogs plans to launch a startup data-driven mutual learning platform within this year. It is a community-based educational approach where entrepreneurs facing different challenges help each other's growth to solve common problems. Cho Sang-rae, CEO of Underdogs, stated: 'Underdogs believes that the various innovations that change the world ultimately begin with entrepreneurs. We expect that through the platform we will launch this year, we can present a new paradigm in the startup education market.'
