Recruitment for 'UnderWoman Impact Community 2nd Edition' Until September 18 Provides Opportunities to Participate in 'Cartier Women's Initiative' Cartier Women's Initiative and startup education company Underdogs are recruiting participants for the '2nd Edition of UnderWoman Impact Community' until September 18. 'UnderWoman' is a women's entrepreneurship education program launched by Underdogs since 2018. It was started to help women in their 30s and 40s who have taken career breaks to grow as entrepreneurs based on their competencies and social innovation perspectives. Since last year, in collaboration with 'Cartier Women's Initiative,' they have been implementing the 'UnderWoman Impact Community.' The scope of participants has also been expanded from married women to women in their 20s and 40s. The 'UnderWoman Impact Community' consists of an Impact Conference that provides information and insights about women's entrepreneurship in the social innovation field, and Impact Salon, a community program where early-stage women social innovation entrepreneurs can share their current challenges. Impact Salon selects a total of 20 women social innovation entrepreneurs and opens a community program where they grow and communicate together from October 2022 to March 2023. Participants can become hosts and open their own small group meetings, and can also freely participate in expert-led small group meetings including Underdogs coaches. The entire startup education process using Underdogs' online education platform is also provided free of charge to strengthen participants' capabilities. Through this, the goal is to expand business performance of participating companies and create well-executed business plans. Participants of 'UnderWoman Impact Community' can also participate in 'Cartier Women's Initiative.' It is Cartier's global program supporting women entrepreneurs that started in 2006. It complies with UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and targets women entrepreneurs whose companies have been in business for less than five years and have decision-making power. If selected as a fellow of 'Cartier Women's Initiative,' participants receive $30,000-$100,000 in support (approximately 30 million to 100 million Korean won), mentoring in mindset programs for entrepreneurship, and opportunities for global media exposure. Fellows can also exchange with global women entrepreneurs. Out of 15 teams that participated in 'UnderWoman Impact Community' last year, 4 teams have applied to Cartier Women's Initiative and are awaiting results. To date, a total of 6 Koreans have reached the final round. In the UnderWoman Impact Community program, additional online coaching for writing business plans in English is provided once per company for those wishing to apply for the Cartier Women's Initiative fellowship. More detailed information can be obtained from the Underdogs website (https://underdogs.co.kr/contents/89331/) or at the Impact Conference held on September 7 at Space Salim in Dongjak-gu, Seoul, and on Underdogs' official YouTube channel. Underdogs CEO Cho Sang-rae said, "Through collaboration between Underdogs and Cartier Women's Initiative to create positive change in our society, this will be a great opportunity for women entrepreneurs."
