Underdogs (CEO: Jo Sang-rae), a startup education specialist company, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Encoding Labs (CEO: Byun Gyeong-rok) on September 6 at Underdogs headquarters located in Jongno-gu, Seoul for 'sustainable development of innovative entrepreneurs and startup ecosystem.' The signing ceremony was attended by Underdogs CEO Jo Sang-rae and Encoding Labs CEO Byun Gyeong-rok. Based on this business agreement, Underdogs and Encoding Labs plan to jointly support entrepreneurs aimed at solving social problems in the blockchain field or early Web 3.0 service sector. Additionally, as part of efforts to add innovation to the field and create a sustainable startup ecosystem, they plan to pursue new businesses and projects, and provide follow-up support to incubated companies. Since its establishment in 2015, Underdogs has been a startup education specialist company that has discovered and nurtured over 10,000 entrepreneurs nationwide as of 2022. Starting with the 'Underdogs Military Academy,' it has introduced practical coaching education to the startup education market and is leading the market. Recently, it is operating the 'Aegis Impact Stage' for nurturing innovative entrepreneurs in the space sector with Aegis Asset Management, and the 'Hana Social Venture University' that supports youth employment and entrepreneurship in each region based on 10 universities nationwide in partnership with Hana Financial Group. Encoding Labs is an incubator for early Web 3.0 services that supports the entire process of blockchain service launch, from team building and business model review, token economy design to technology development, investment attraction, and global partnership support, based on early service builders and developer communities in the blockchain field. Recently, it joined as Korea's first incubation partner under the Klaytn mainnet.
