Hi-Local Icheon Performance Sharing Session (Photo: UDI Impact) Hi-Local Icheon Center, a hub for fostering youth local startups in the Icheon region, held an interim performance sharing session on the 6th to check the results after conducting 5 weeks of startup education for participating teams following its opening (December 10, 2025). Hi-Local Icheon Center is a youth startup space created with support from SK Hynix and funding from the Gyeonggi Community Chest of Korea. It serves as a startup hub that supports young people in Icheon to discover regional social problems and design and implement sustainable impact business models. The program attracted young people under 39 years old from Icheon and nationwide impact companies seeking expansion into Icheon, interested in launching impact enterprises in the fields of Environment (Eco), Technology (Tech), and Social Services. Currently, 9 teams from the Scale-up Track (pre-startup) and 14 teams from the Local Solution Track (existing startups or preparing to establish branches) that completed the education program are operating with Hi-Local Icheon Center as their hub. All startup education programs were planned and operated by UDI Impact. During the interim performance sharing session, participating teams shared their concrete business models and implementation status developed through the educational process and reviewed their future growth directions. The evaluation was conducted based on criteria including △localism △innovation △business sustainability △potential for creating social value. As a result, the Deaf Broker team, Dad's Pantry team, and Don-Dok-Han-Ga team were selected as top teams in the Scale-up Track, and the Step-Up team and Heung-Man-So team were selected as top teams in the Local Solution Track. In particular, all teams that completed the program received activity funds, and through the interim performance sharing session, a total of 130 million won in commercialization funds (up to 10 million won per team) were provided. Through this, startup teams have laid the foundation to apply the business models developed in the educational process to the actual market and create tangible business outcomes. An Jun-sang, Director of Together We Make the World (Social Solidarity Bank), stated, "The startup education conducted after the opening of Hi-Local Icheon Center is not simple theoretical education but an execution-focused process," and added, "As we have confirmed the growth potential of participating teams through the interim performance sharing session, we plan to continuously expand the local impact startup ecosystem in Icheon through follow-up support." The Hi-Local Icheon project is sponsored by SK Hynix, supported by the Gyeonggi Community Chest of Korea, and operated by Together We Make the World (Social Solidarity Bank).
