▲ (Photo courtesy of Jeju Social Enterprise Growth Support Center) [Vegan News Reporter Seo In-hong] The Jeju Social Enterprise Growth Support Center (Social Campus On Jeju, Director Park Nam-gyu) held capacity-building training on online marketing strategies and intellectual property rights necessary for business operations on the 26th for 51 social enterprises housed in the center. During the 'Online Promotion/Marketing Strategy' training session led by Han Wan-hee, head of Underdogs Jeju Branch, the training covered the concept of digital marketing, changes in key elements, and explanations of the digital marketing process, followed by practical exercises in marketing implementation and content creation that could be immediately applied in the field. The 'Patent and Trademark Registration' session led by Lee Ik-bae, representative of Segwang Patent Law Office, seriously proceeded with explanations of intellectual property concepts and necessity, brand protection and rights, case studies of registered patents and trademarks through the instructor's experience, and Q&A sessions between participating company representatives and the instructor regarding intellectual property necessary for business operations. Meanwhile, the Social Enterprise Growth Support Center (Social Campus On) was funded by lottery funds and is operated by the Korea Social Enterprise Promotion Agency, a subsidiary of the Ministry of Employment and Labor. It is currently established in 17 regions nationwide including Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Busan, and provides support roles including resource linkage, education program operation, collaboration, and continuous mentoring to ensure stable growth of enterprises founded with priority on solving social problems. In the Jeju region, Jeju Tourism University was selected as the responsible operating institution and opened on November 25 last year, with 51 companies currently housed there.
